Hey all, I am a noob, so sorry if this question is a bit simple. I've been backing up my DVDs and encoding them with Divx5 for a while now, and I recently got to a foreign film so I need subtitles. I used r4r (setup as described on this website) and then I used Gordian Knot. I added the *idx and *sub files under the "Files" heading in the Bitrate tab of GK, but it didn't work. I noticed also that there were two subtitle files with "unicode" in their file names and extension *srt. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be much appreicated. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum:

As a newbie with subtitle problems, you chose the two forums that describe you and your problem to post to. The only thing wrong with that, is that "cross-posting" is against one of our Forum Rules (http://forum.doom9.org/forum-rules.htm). :)

Anyone with assistance for you can find your post in the Subtitles forum here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=72064). Good luck with your issue.
