USING DVD SHRINK 3.1:

How to delete one scene from a DVD. There is only one chapter, which runs the entire 90 minute DVD. I wanted to delete one scene and do it without causing any audio sync problems.

This is what I did:

PART ONE:

(1) Using DVD Shrink, I went into re-author mode.
(2) Dragged the single Title to the re-author windows, TWICE.
(3) This creates two titles, each including the entire DVD.
(4) TITLE 1: I set Start/End from the beginning I-Frame of the video, up to the good I-Frame, just before the first I-Frame of the scene I wanted to delete.
(5) TITLE 2: I set Start/End from the first good I-Frame after the scene I wanted to delete, up to and including the end of the DVD.
(6) I did the Backup and got a video with the one scene deleted.
(7) Unfortunately, its a dual title DVD and I wanted one title.

PART TWO:

(1) Using DVD2ONE, I went into Merge Mode.
(2) I selected the merging of both titles.
(3) I used the Merge via Seemless option.
(4) I finally got one title, one contiguous DVD.

QUESTION: Is there any way I could have done it all using DVD Shrink? Also, is there a dvd sHRINK seemless merge option: Two Titles --> One Title?

Thanks,

Gary

No, you can't do it in DVD Shrink. It creates a separate title for every segment you add in re-authoring mode. Hence, no seamless merge.

dvd2one and recode can do seamless merge....(no 1 sec pause)
