View Full Version : Is copy protection on DVD like on audio CDs? Do they deliberately induce errors?

Hi,
This is my first post here. I have a question regarding DVDs. I know that copy-protected CDs have errors (induced deliberately) in order to confuse CD-ROM drives. Are DVD's copy-protected in a similar manner or are they protected using some encryption algorithm of some sort. If it is the latter, then I am happy as the actual data on the DVD itself is intact, albeit encrypted. Please let me know. Bye.
