i have read guide gordian knot, several thread but i don't find
answer to my question.
i use xvid Koepi 24062003-1
i use to make divx with 505 and i want to test xvid for compare.
perphas my question is stupid but i ask :
when i do a comp test i have 1pass quality anq quality = 100
i never touch this, is it the good value ?
can i use 1pass quantizer, and so with value 5 ?
i understand that i can't ask for best value, but i just need an opinion to be in the good way
in advanced option i put the same param taht in first pass and second pass.

thanks for your response

no replly ?

is my question is idiot ?
since 4 days i search response to my question in differents guide
and i don't found.
a lot of people seem use Xvid 1.0 ...
if i use gordian 028.7 and xvid koepi24062003 :
can we use compressiblity check ?
and config codec : 1 pass quality with qaulity = 100 ?

the comp check seem working and i have encode the same film with divx505 and after withxvid for compar the difference in quality.
Xvid seem less soften ,with more details.
i have open my xvid film and divx film in two different vdubmod
and compare in differents scenes.
So i plan to encode in future with Xvid and i just need to know if i can make comp check with 1 pass quality and quality = 100

GKnot sets Xvid for comp. test like it have to be so don't touch that. You can set other options, though. And yes, 1pass-100 is right option.
