Using DVD2AVI question?

Can this program be used to convert a DVD to an AVI and then be converted to a WMV and compressed to fit on a 256 mb card? If this is needed with other programs, let me know.

It can be used that way yes, but unless you have lot's of HD space and can use Huffyuv as middlestep I don't really recommend it.

IIRC (I have never used WME) at least some versions of WMEncoder should be able to handle AviSynth. If that's the case then I'd say that AviSynth is the way to go. Create a D2V with DVD2AVI, convert the audio to 2-channel PCM/WAV (with besweet) and create an AViSynth script that opens and muxes that audio and video and feeds it into WME.
