DVD's to Pocket PC

I am currently using a program called DVD to Pocket PC but it works succesfully about half the time. I am looking for a program that can compress and DVD to fit on a 256mb card. I thought it could be done with DVD shrink but it does not. Please help!

How big files are you talking here?
Compressing a 5-9GB dual layer movie to that size is probably next to impossible. compressing a short clip could be done any number of ways.
