Hi guys ..

Well I am having a BIG problem here. I am trying to convert a dvd (witch contains 11 hours of video low quality but works fine) using gordian knot. I have ripped the dvd using dvd dycrpter in the iso mode mounted the image and then when i tried to open the files in dvd2avi 1.77.3dg1.0.0rc2 it just shows a green window instead of the movie and when i press f5 for preview i get a message form windows xp saying that dvd2avi incountred a problem and should be close. what can i do about it ??:scared:

Thanx a lot and sorry for the long post.

One way to solve it is to rip the movie in IFO Mode.

"Sounds" like some sort of colorspace issue. You might try setting Video...Colorspace from RGB to YUV, or YUV to RGB.

Or, perhaps it's your iDCT setting?

hi again ..

I have tried to change the colors and the iDCT settings but that didn't give any result. I just don't understand why i still get this green window. I have tried dvdx and it works fine but i still want to use gordian knot ..

Thanks a lot ;)

It may be MPEG1 video. Try using DirectShowSource() in Avisynth, or demux the video using VobEdit and drop the resulting file on VirtualDub; if it plays, it is MPEG1 despite the name given to it by VobEdit!
