I just encoded a 23.976 fps frame-based/progressive Divx/Xvid video to MPEG-2 using CCE 2.67. I assume I should add progressive flags but what about the sequence? Should it be progressive or interlace? I've heard conflicting answers. I'm gonna use pulldown.exe.

Set PROG_SEQ to interlaced. Most of your sources will be interlaced on the sequence. Only some HDTV modes have progressive sequences.

Well, you already set the progressive frames flag and scan order in CCE, right? There's no need to change these flags with pulldown.

When you do a pulldown with pulldown.exe, it doesn't transfer the progressive flags into it's output, so you have to set the flags option.
