I bought this card a few months ago and the hardware seems fine - but the AverMedia software sucks! The best version of the software that worked on this card was the one that came on the CD when I bought it, however I lost that so was obliged to download the version on the website - this was the first update - this was crap cause it kept crashing my system and the EPG guide only showed what was on currently and next - nothing more.

When a second update came in Feb, I was quick to get that, thinking that it would help me sort out the previous problems - this was even worse - when it crashed - the crash was so bad it just restarted the whole system and didnt even prompt you with the usual crash info box that you get in XP which just allows you to stop the non responding program. If that wasn't bad - the EPG guide in this version didnt even work at all!!! So back to good old newpaper listings!!

I have been trying to find some alternative software to watch/record TV with because I cant afford to keep letting my system crash - cause it takes ages to recover. Most of the software around seem to be for DVB Sat cards. I live in the UK,and was wondering if there is any software that supports Terrestrial free to view cards as well?

Most TV tuner Card software seems to work only with analogue TV cards and not digital ones - since this is all new to me, maybe someone can help me out?

thanks!
