i have a new elta 8883, it works fine indeed, but i am experiencing problems in using cdRw, it doesn't read correctly, the video and sound are not smooth and stop many times..it doesn't work..
i installed the latest firmware upgrade, well, it didn't help at all, is there anyone else that is experiencing what i am?
i am using verbatim cdrw..but even other brand ones give always the same problem..is that available any non ufficial relase firmware?
Thanks all

It's a known problem. Just to let you know CD-RW and DVD+RW (Don't know about DVD-RW) won't play in my Toshiba either.

i know it is not the same player, but with the ascomtec problems with cdrw has been reported. with cdr depends of the media. DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW and DVD+RW seems to work perfectly, at least for me.

Yes, no problem with DVD+RW here. DVD-R/RW and DVD+R also work, its just that i mostly use +RW.
Only with very bad scratched discs the player just stops at that position.

But i also read that some people have problems with there CDRWs, i have only very few anymore so i cannot check this.

and did anyone notice that happens sometime that the video has a so low sound that i have to put the tv volume to max..
i always keep elta sound at max, but it doesn't look like loud enough...
is strange since my VCR gives out good sound on the same Tv, also the sat receiver, but the elta has a very low output..not talking about the short range of remote control working..
