I am really stuck of how to make my .avi to a dvd with tmpgenc 2.5 plus. I go through pal/ntsc settings and neither movies that I have are not able to fit onto a sing dvd+rdisc. They run up to 4800mb each. How can I succesfully do this? Both movies are roughly 700mb each and I am completely unsure of what to do. Help would greately be appreciated. If you need anymore information on the movies that would be no problem. The movies are 25fps and 23.982...

Help would be appreciated, thanks.

Have you seen Doom9's step-by-step AVI -> DVD-R guide using AVI2SVCD and TMPGEnc?

I tried it but I get some weird errors from Sonic Scenarist.

OK - TMPGEnc often gets the size wrong. so do this...

select the source range manually. it's as simple as that.

I'm not sure how to find this option without using the wizard, but when you get to the wizard stage 3/5 there will be an option to set the source range.

go into this and click "move to start frame" (you'll probably be at the start frame anyway, but best be sure) then "set start frame" then "move to end frame" then "set end frame" then click "OK".

carry on through the wizard and you'll now find that it fits OK.

OK?

if this doesn't work then just change the bitrate! a lower bitrate equals less data - geddit?
