Excellent!! XVD codec

it is my second surprise that XVD codec is better than WMV9 in terms of picture quality and compression rate. It was my first surprise to find WMV is far better than DIVX and Xvid. I tested XVD codec today, and compare the results produced with WMV and with XVD, from same source. I can not differenciate their quality difference, but feel that WMV codec blurs picture color while XVD does not.

Th problem with XVD seems that there is no 3rd party plugin and editing tools. Anyone of here know more about thid codec, information about plugin, user community, etc? Of course, I know where is the company's homepage. http://www.bhacorp.com/

I can hardly see any usefulness for a encoder that does not allow VOB, .d2v nor .avs as input source, when it comes to backup purposes :rolleyes:

I've tried it and the results are far from impressive IMHO. Besides, the encoder is really a pain in the a$$.
