I am a newbie, and having a few problems...when I try an back up my DVD, I manage to get the file into my computer, then when i try to burn it to DVD, the computer writes about 5 seconds and then stops...the disc reads full, but it only has about 5 seconds of film on it. I have followed the guide to the leeter, but still I can't get the film onto my disc. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help you may be able to give me....

Welcome to the forums, Gathelon. :)

It would help if you could give us more details. ;)

What software did you use to make your backkup?
What is the exact procedure you followed?
What burning software did you use?
What is the exact procedure you followed?
What media did you try and burn to?
What is your DVD-writer drive?
What are your system specifications?
...?

Hi, thanks for your help! The answers as far as I can figure are:
1.DVD Shrink 3.1
2. I Followed the step by step guide on this site.
3.Nero 5.5
4. Just clicked reauthor and it started!
5. I'm writing to a DVD-R 4.7 GB
6. I have and Archos Dex DVD rewriter, externallly connected via USB.
7. Advent 7011 laptop, with 256 MB ram, 29 GB hard drive, Intel Pentium 4 processor, and running Windows XP Home edition!

I would be grateful if you could help...thanks again!

So did you play DVDShrinks output on your computer with a DVDPlayer like PowerDVD ?
Did it work ok ?
If so its a Nero / burning problem and should really be in the Buring forum.
Where did you put the files in Nero and which settings are you using ?
