1. I read the forum rules
2. i tried the search option

but I still have a very strange problem:
Everything worked fine with dvd2svcd since ages (used cce 2.5 and tmpgenc for speacial issues). I installed some more tools, some codecs, some dlls n stuff, and suddenly dvd2svcd doesnt work anymore, i always get this:

WNASPI32.DLL 2.0.1.50

- DVD to SVCD Conversion
- DVD2SVCD ver. 1.2.1 build 3

- D:\VTS_01_1.vob

Initializing finished.

Variable settings:

Executing DVD2AVI. Commandline:
"C:\DVD2SVCD\DVD2AVI 1.76 Command-Line 1.05\DVD2AVI.exe" -CS=2 -YR=1 -EXIT -OF=[D:\DVD2AVI_Project_file] -IF=[D:\VTS_01_1.vob]
EFOpenError Cannot open file D:\DVD2AVI_Project_file.d2v

I tried everything:
- I uninstalled everything
- I reinstalled DVD2SVCD
- I used another DVD2AVI version

[i changed teh drive letters/paths/...]
But still the same error?

Any suggestions, please?

Hi,

Re: D:\[] BURN DVD\SVCD\DVD2AVI_Project_file.d2v

Try setting it up so you don't get the [], for example D:\BURN DVD\SVCD\DVD2AVI_Project_file.d2v would be a better choice.

I may be wrong, but some progs do not like bizarre characters in the filename! I generally use underscores _ where I would like spaces.

This is an excerpt of one of my successful logs:

Creating DVD2AVI INI file:
- C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\DVD2AVI\DVD2AVI.INI

Variable settings:
iDCT_Algorithm: 32-bit SSE MMX

Executing DVD2AVI.
Executing DVD2AVI. Commandline:
"C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\DVD2AVI\DVD2AVIdg.exe" -CS=2 -YR=1 -OM=0 -EXIT -OF=[C:\shackleton\source\DVD2AVI_Project_file] -IF=[C:\shackleton\source\VTS_01_1.vob,C:\shackleton\source\VTS_01_2.vob,C:\shackleton\source\VTS_01_3.vob,C:\shackleton\source\VTS_01_4.vob,C:\shackleton\source\VTS_01_5.vob,C:\shackleton\source\VTS_01_6.vob,C:\shackleton\source\VTS_01_7.vob,C:\shackleton\source\VTS_01_8.vob]
Framerate: 25000
DVD2AVI processing done.

Hurra! :thanks: :thanks: :thanks:

Thats the solution! Some ASCIIs in the file/folder names cant be handled by dvd2svcd!

Thanx a lot!

These dont work:
