View Full Version : dvd2avi dg wrong framerate

hullo,

i've done a quick search, but found nothing on this issue i am having here.
thing is, i ripped a pal dvd with dvd-decrypter 3.1.9 then, like always, loaded the vobs into dvd2avidg and did a preview. now it tells me that framerate is 20.000, couldn't get it to say 25.000...

when i save the project and open it in mediaplayer or gknot frontend (with 1.76-style project) or via avs it really has 20 fps and the length is correct (112 min, 07 sec), changing
framerate to 25 results in too small length.

on the other side playing the original content directly in mediaplayer (either via ifo or the vobs directly) shows correctly 25.000 fps and correct length, as well as creating a project with dvd2avi v1.86 gives these correct results.

now, i can surely live with the 1.86 project and encode from there, but since i have no clue why dg's version does behave that way and i never encountered such behavior before, i thought i'd post that here.
i can honestly not tell if i did something wrong, but i tried it several times. maybe someone finds this interesting or has an answer as to why that occurs.

guidance, nanga!

Sounds like you chose Force FILM to me.

uhh, i think i want to hide under my desk...

yes i did! or let's say it did, whatever 'it' is. since i haven't had a dvd which requires force film in years, i wonder why that switch was turned on. and i haven't even bothered to look there.

thanks for that valueable tip, zettai ;) and my apologies for making such a stupid post at all!

i still wonder why i haven't noticed that...
