Lets say I have a raw MPEG-2 file that I would like to covert into a WM9(1 pass)/Mp3 encoded file.
Do I have to save a job for each process, 1 for the WM9 and 1 for the Mp3 encode or can I just select both compressions and do a single job?

Hi-
You shouldn't do the audio within VDub. Do it separately in BeSweet or HeadAC3he and then mux it with the video as it's being encoded. And you should probably be using VDubMod, and not VDub.

Just out of curiosity why shouldn't I do it in Vdub?

You'll get better quality/compression out of the apps that manono mentioned, and if you're using something like avisynth that passes in uncompressed pcm audio so it's better to just kill the audio and encoding it in one of those tools, then once the vid/audio are encoded seperately mux them together.
