Hi Everyone, i've been using CCE for about 2 weeks now and have been getting some great results.

I want to back up my Law & Order Box Set (As i paid $100 for the damn thing) but there is a Video_TS which is 830 Megs. It contains some video but no audio, it's only 10 minutes long but encoded at a very high bit rate.

I've never seen a large Video_TS file like this and not sure what to do, Doitfast nor Numenu will reencode it (At least i can't get them to).

The video appears to be redundant with stuff already in the main feature, Do you think it will be safe to just Blank it out after the encode is done with TitleSetblanker ??

I don't understand why NunMenu doesn't encode VIDEO_TS, do you get any error or something?

It's not unusual that menues include some "dummy" video in order to increase total size. NunMenu does a great job detecting those fake menues, and replaces it with empty cells.

If NumMenu doesn't help, you should navigate through all menus so as to see if this video is being used. You cut change navigation to skip that video, so you can delete safely.

I also have the L&) set (1st season). I wasn't able to successfully back it up, but it's been at least 6 or 8 months since I tried, and ReAuthorist has come out since then. Maybe it's time that I revisted it. Are you using ReAuthorist?

Marpada : The Video_TS doesn't seem to be a menu, so NuMenu doesn't pick it up. Doitfast4U doesn't give me the option of selecting either. The only thing i can think of it it's a different angle for a short part of the first episode. Or mabye it's just a screw up, as honestly i see no point to it being there at all, except easting up 900 megs.

BC01 : Yes i am using Reauthorist. I might take a closer look at it tonight.

I know i can use TitleSetblanker on it after the encode is done, but one of my DVD Players won't play anything if the Video_TS has been blanked (My main Living Room player). Is there any way to replace it with a stupid logo or something ??

Well numenu should detect it as being fake (if it is) and should encode it. The video_ts.vob not being a menu is no reason for numenu not to handle it.

If it still won't work you can strip out the unwanted vobids with ifoedit. Keep only one small vobid and you should be fine I think.
