Getting exceptions in debug builds?

Quick question for the core devs: is there a way to get meaningful error messages in debug builds? VDub only displays the AvsException text when using release binaries.

In general it it very annoying that AviSynth catches errors, as it just makes debugging hell.

OTOH, when you get an AviSynth Error (not access violation, etc), you can just step up a few function calls in the debugger and see the error message. Not the worlds best solution, but it makes general debugging much easier.
