I have a serie which the source AVIs are badly interleaved (audio and video). This makes producer stop encoding at 1%. I would post this bug on HC but my access is not working :(.

Please use VirtualDub to fix the bad AVIs. Producer is reading AVIs via DirectShow, so if DirectShow can't handle it, Producer can not. You can file a bug if you like, but in this case I am afraid it will not get very high priority, if any at all ..

Why not read the avis via avisynth?

You call Producer not being able to read bad avi files correctly a bug? If anything, that's a matter the developers chose to give low priority, but not a bug.
