WOW! I can't wait to try it out. I think it's tools like these that will bring new blood to RVX.
Sirber

I was supposed to release the new features in RealAnime 2.00, but I lost the core last weekend. :( And since I had to restart it, I moved over Delphi which is way better than VB for my needs. Also, the inslatter might be like 1.5MB smaller since I won't need extra DLLs/OCXs :D

Yes, this UI looks very promising. Hopefully the new rate control and inloop options (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=71022) that everyone has been asking for will also help (bring new users to RV 10) :rolleyes:

clever combination of all-in-one and tabbed interface!! great job!^O^

so you add elysee version??
is this a stable release? i wonder because of the readme.txt...

Why isn't this open source? Are you afraid that somebody will make a mod like happened with RealAnime?

sirber is afraid of me ;-)

i think sirber can release it in gpl... but when he achieve a stable version (like v2.00)
or they can start it as a projetc on sourceforge : in this case people can help via cvs...

To me, it seems strange that a company like real, which has been on the market for more than twice as long as divx.com, wasn't able to position itself in that segment.

just a question : do you plan to add vfw codec support (ie xvid, vp6 or divx) to your new soft -- like in surreal ui :-)
Sirber
18th February 2004, 23:27
dunno yet. If I add a codec it will surely be VP6. But, I really don't know yet.

Sirber......
Will you be including the option to have the temp file location a user setting?
Same as source would be ideal.
I would like it if its not too much trouble :)
Thanks
Data
Sirber
19th February 2004, 02:43
By default, temp files will be stored where destination is. I finished job manager (save / load settings). I'm attacking now the jobfile creator. I think having an alpha release this weekend is not just wind :D
Same as source would be ideal.What if the source is a DVDR or a CDR? :p
damrod
19th February 2004, 07:32
beurk... encoding directly from dvdr or cdr?? pfff people like to do damage to their drive...
you can add a checkbox to choose "windows tmp directory" or "same as file to encode"... that's what i do for realbatch :-)
damrod
19th February 2004, 07:34
btw the problem to encode audio track in realbatch/realanime commes from the tag presentation always set to audio-video but in case of audio track...it's audio-only; if not it crash...
for just video there is the tag video-only :-)

Hi,
Can I ask some questions?
What are " max avg SSD", "max area SSD", "max avg chro SSD", and "max area chro SSD"?
RadicalEd
20th February 2004, 05:41
Average and area-specific sum of squared differences for the luma and chroma, respectively. DupeDrop params that adjust the threshold for what should be dropped and what is considered motion.
Sirber
20th February 2004, 13:23
You can get more info in the RealVideo 9 sticky thread, under DropDupe.
damrod
20th February 2004, 23:42
i see you can specify AR in your gui? why? is this a parameter of encoding?
Sirber
21st February 2004, 00:08
Yes, see screenshots. It's only 4:3 or 16:9. Crop is auto and resize semi-auto.
damrod
21st February 2004, 00:10
mumm but 4/3 is ok but 16/9... and 2.35?1.89? two formats of 16/9 in dvd ... ;-)
Sirber
21st February 2004, 01:39
With autocroping it's ok.
Sirber
21st February 2004, 20:03
I'm trying to get a basic working version this afternoon (GTM-5). As soon as jobfile creator is completed, I just need to implement APi manager and I will be able to encode :D.
[edit]
Preview version will have the fellowing features:
* AVI encoding only
* RealVideo 8/9/10 with the new RC
* Expert mode only
Preview version will be missing the fellowing features:
* General UI management: make a wrong setting and expect crash :)
* AC3 support
* AVISynth filtering
* All the other stuff :D
This will be a preview, not an alpha version. Expect bugs, fat bugs and juicy bugs. No settings validation is done actually.

Mmm... I needed a little more protein in my encoding diet.
Looking forward to seeing what you've done so far, and definitely looking forward to playing with the new rate control.

The GUI looks great.
As it is closed source, may I ask (intending to potentially use the answer for my own project :cool: ) how you did the auto-cropping? Actually, I plan to open the clip via any directshow media player component and look for black borders, ignoring TV station logos.
Sirber

autocrop is an avisynth filter :)

Jobfile creator is working. With some tweaking I might be able to encode 1 file. Then, I will just need to add batch management and YS RealAnime will be "workable" :D
[edit]
Here's a preview:
http://www.webernic.com/sites/sirber/YS/YSRealAnime_Preview.exe (2.75MB)
Archive is protected against non-doom9 members:
Pass: yatoshisirber
What works:
* Job management (settings edit / save)
* Expert mode only
* RealVideo 9/10 only
* Encode file first file from first job
Expected errors:
* Crash at every error
What does not work:
* Remove files
* Everything else :D
This is a preview, so don't complain :devil:

Some thoughts:
The icon sucks
Why does this thing has 3 different settings for audio? Merge everything into one (and add some handling code if needed).
Sirber
24th February 2004, 21:45
About audio, In the Files source, it might have 5.1 and 2.0 (AC3) and 5.1 and 2.0 (AVI). That's why I need 3 settings, or else I will have to guess what codec to use...
Latexxx
25th February 2004, 10:00
You could have only one option set for audio and add some check boxes to select channel number.
Ps. Adding Vorbis audio encoding would be interesting.

won't work.

might be related with XviD + DirectShow. Nothing I can do :(
DarkNite
29th February 2004, 04:29
XviD RC2 can be decoded by DivX's Support Generic MPEG4 decoding, which is selectable in the DivX Decoder Configuration Utility.
You could also try changing the fourcc code to DX50 if it's current fourcc is XVID.

Good, in normal uses YS RealAnime uses onlu 0-2% CPU. The 100% thing was related to this bug. (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&postid=451653#post451653)

Coming soon???
Sirber
29th February 2004, 17:54
I would have finished if I restarted it in vb6, but this is Delphi men! Encoding currently works but still need tweaking and validation. I'm working right now on batching, audio encoding and muxing. Sylvain will work on simple mode soon. Simple mode might be the first thing to work ok, since expert is kinda big.

6th March 2004, 17:06
Hi mates!
I spoke with Shinobu some days ago and we got a nice idea: LAN encoding. Since YS RealAnime first goal is batching, why not sending files to encoders on a private LAN?
All comments are welcome :D

6th March 2004, 17:19
do you mean e.g. install YS realanime in computer A, and use it to directly encode files in computer B and directly save the resulting rmvb in computer B?
if yes that's awesome! I love this feature, I can use a faster pentium computer to encodes file downloaded in another slower athlon computer! ^^
Sirber
6th March 2004, 17:25
Exemple:
Computer A: YS RealAnime
Computer B: YS RealAnime Encoding Slave
A has 3 jobs with 30 files each. A start Job1/File1 and send Job1/File2 to B. A and B start encoding. B finish Job1/File2 and send the resulted file back to A. A send Job1/File3 to B while finishing encoding Job1/File1.
If B get some errors, the error is sent back to A for analisis.
If B loose connection with A, A resend the file to another slave or encode it itself.
All jobs are controled by A. B only recieve files, settings and return the encoded file.
Imagine if you have... 10 2GHz computer in LAN? :D

the next realanim will accept .MKV, .OGM and .MP4?
Sirber

More something like AVS/D2V.
OGM/MKV ae quite a pain in the ass to recompress. Never tryed MP4 yet.

why don't you use mkvextract for mkv input and mkvmerge for mkv output? It's really easy with command line...
Sirber
13th March 2004, 18:41
for output, I will use mkvmerge. I'm focusing now on handeling AVI + AC3 + SRT: )
damrod
13th March 2004, 18:57
you can check source file and then demux using mkvextract... to separate for exemple avi+ac3+srt in mkv file then encode only video to rmeux again after...

sorry for the last reply...
I found info on an other forum about the codec.
Nevertheless I have pb with your version. I use basic mode, I follow instruction and.... nothing....
i have all the software needed (in the first post) and I tried encode a .avi.

karl_lillevold
14th March 2004, 18:17
achtungfeuer: perhaps you meant if YS RealAnime has an option for the new vs the old rate control. And yes, it does, looking at the screen shots in the first tab, the expert tab has a drop-down for choice of rate control, as well as the advanced options for the new rate control, and every possible option you can imagine. It is very nice. I just tried it out.
I had a similar little problem though: I had another encoding task running on my computer, and it appeared like YS RealAnime did nothing... then finally, it started producer, but running so very slowly. After I set my other encoding task to "Low", it sped up YS encoding, but it still looked like YS's producer.exe received much less CPU time than my other running encoding job. Strange. In any case, check if you have something running in the background on your computer, for instance SETI or folding@home, that would take up all your CPU preventing YS producer from running. This because YS sets producer to run at the lowest priority.

I'm thinking about removing the bitrate setting. FileSize is the only really needed since we can calculate filesize manually for the old Rate Control. What do you think?
damrod
16th March 2004, 00:22
bof bof... it depends what you want... same size or same bitrate for a list of files...
Sirber
16th March 2004, 00:24
I thought it would be simplier to code, but it's the same as filesize. :)
Marcel
16th March 2004, 00:58
There are some cases where the bitrate settings are needed.
OK, atm I have only one case in mind: Devices with limited hardware.
Some of them, Nokia Series 60 mobiles, are covered by RealHandy (new version with cool AVS creator and cropping preview will be out next days, I hope). But there are also other devices like PocketPCs which need limited bitrates. For their owners, YS RealAnime will be worthless.
Or did I completely misunderstand you?
BTW, as you code in Delphi - if anyone is interested in it, I've made a small unit which fills
TVideoInfo = Record
Width, Height, FPS1000, MPEGversion: Integer;
FPS: Single;
end;
for .AVI, .MPEG (1/2), .VOB and .D2V (just tracking down to the source) files.
Dirty code, but works; when I'm less busy, I might clean it up and I'll post it to the Development forum. But for those who don't want to wait - get it here (7k) (http://www.turbogenial.de/data/VidInfo.pas).

16th March 2004, 01:07
Hi
Thanks for the reply. I will keep bitrate. Laziness took control over me for a moment :). Your code is interresting, but I have some questions:
1) What are the licensing terms?
2) Does it require aditionnal DLLs?
3) Could you add Frame count?
Thanks :D
[About YS]
I just got how to use Drag&Drop. Preview 3 will be powered by DragDrop :D
Marcel
16th March 2004, 02:07
Drag'n'drop can be soooo easy if you use FileDrop (http://delphi.icm.edu.pl/ftp/d20free/filedrop.zip). According to Delphi Super Page search engine (US) (http://dsp.href.com/), it is for D2/D3 only. But worth a try, because it's free...
Just add it to your form, tell it which component should receive filenames via D'n'D and create FileDrops OnDrop event handler.
Free like my little lib.
Doesn't need any .DLLs, just links to the units SysUtils and Classes. If you'd like to use it, use it. And if you'd like to use it and give me the credits in a little dark corner, do that.
I'm adding aspect ratio now (for MPEG1/2 files), but atm I don't have a clue where I can find the count of frames.
And I sure should get to bed now (2am)...
Sirber
16th March 2004, 02:26
Nice
I currently use vidframe (DLL) to get various infos about AVI/AVS, like audio sample / second (to know if source has built-in audio). Your "lib" sounds cool.
What I really need is to detect audio (AVI/AVS) and Aspect Ratio (D2V). If you can do that you're my king :D. About writing your name somewhere, I have a magnificent About box where you would be welcome :D Side not: just some hours ago, the about box was producing AccessViolation if used twice :confused: :)
Marcel
16th March 2004, 02:35
AR is now read correct (I hope) for MPEG1/2, VOB and D2V.
The number of streams in an AVI file can be found easy: Open an AVI in VDubMods Hex-Editor and click on the second line under the "avih8" header sign. And two DWords before, you'll find the number of frames in the clip. But for AVS... uh, don't know.
edit: the lib can still be found here (8k now) (http://www.turbogenial.de/data/VidInfo.pas).
edit2: "Mist", Delphi is rounding in a curious way. I will change TVideoInfo.AspectRatio from Single to Integer with consts...
edit3: done.
Sirber
16th March 2004, 02:57
Can you distinguish 4:3 from 16:9 for D2V?
Marcel
16th March 2004, 03:03
I hope so, as I read it from the MPG/VOB file the D2V points to. But now, I only have an 4:3 VOB on my HDD. Will test further tomorrow.
Sirber

nice nice
if you add those features (AR + Sound detection), I definitly add it to YS RealAnime :D
Sirber
16th March 2004, 03:35
I'm planning later to add plugin interface, for video codec mainly. The goal of that is to add video codec whitout breaking my core nor the stability of YS RealAnime.
This will be done (if possible) after LAN manager.

AR is included, but I found that I'm not through with it yet.
Do you want the sound detection to be done for AVI only?
Till now, the tested MPEG/VOB files had those AR values:
AR_SQUARE_PIXEL = 1;
AR_4to3 = 2;
AR_16to9 = 8;
Now I tested a 16:9 PAL VOB, and it had a 3 as AR value, while a 4:3 PAL VOB reported 2, as it was supposed to.
Maybe someone with NTSC stuff could tell me which values are used there? You could do so by using my VidInfo.pas testing Application, FPSreader (http://www.turbogenial.de/data/FPSreader.zip) (110k, full source and FileDrop component included). Just start it and Drag'n'Drop the vob on it's window.

sorry Sirber, but both simple and expert mode don't work.:(
Sirber
16th March 2004, 14:05
you have to choose Expert mode in the menubar, not just changing tabs.
if your jobfile is 0KB, it means you're still in simple mode. Next release, if you don't change for expert mode (as I always say), it will burn your hard disk :p
@ Marcel
Yes, audio for AVI only, since you can't get that infor for AVS unless you use DShow :)
Marcel
16th March 2004, 16:05
I updated again (6k) (http://www.turbogenial.de/data/VidInfo.pas). :)
I finally added a frame counter for AVI files, threw some old, unused, comment-tagged code away and added comments for the data structure TVideoInfo.
Number of frames is not implemented for MPEG files, as I haven't found yet any hint where I can find it. But I'll continue searching, as DVD2AVI must read it anywhere, too.
FPSreader (http://www.turbogenial.de/data/FPSreader.zip) (110k; executable, full source and FileDrop component included) is also updated.
I'd really appreciate it if someone who has some NTSC 16:9 VOB files could use FPSReader on them and tell me which value is reported for the AR.
Sirber
16th March 2004, 17:16
no need of filedrop, I already have something that works #1 :)
Marcel
16th March 2004, 20:34
But you'll need FileDrop if you want to compile FPSreader. That's why I included it.
Sirber
16th March 2004, 21:19
Why would I need FPSreader?
Marcel
16th March 2004, 21:26
It's just a little demonstration of how to use VidInfo.pas. And maybe you've got your hands on some 16:9 NTSC VOB files ...
Sirber
16th March 2004, 21:34
Does VidInfo.pas works alone?
Marcel
16th March 2004, 21:54
yes, it could be used stand-alone.
Now it even reads the number of streams in an AVI file.
Sirber
16th March 2004, 22:15
nice :)
but...
AVI audio = 1 stream
AVI video = 1 stream
so it cannot detect audio track :(

hum, I made some test files with VirtualDubMod 1.5.4.1:
b0.avi:
Video only, no Audio stream - FPSreader said: "Streams: 1"
b1.avi:
Video + 1 Audio stream - FPSreader said: "Streams: 2"
b2.avi:
Video + 2 Audio stream - FPSreader said: "Streams: 3"
b3.avi:
Video + 3 Audio stream - FPSreader said: "Streams: 4"
b4.avi:
Video + 4 Audio stream - FPSreader said: "Streams: 5"
- so for me, it works fine.
My source has been a bilingual AVI, I took the first minute (direct stream processing) => b2.avi.
Demuxed the second stream (MP3 VBR) and added it to the stream list => b3.avi, b4.avi.
Removed / disabled audio streams in stream list => b1.avi, b0.avi.
A "dir" on that folder says:
16.03.2004 22:22 725.328 b.mp3
16.03.2004 22:23 5.345.280 b0.avi
16.03.2004 22:23 6.150.144 b1.avi
16.03.2004 22:21 6.934.528 b2.avi
16.03.2004 22:22 7.718.912 b3.avi
16.03.2004 22:22 8.501.248 b4.avi

what about AVI with no video track and 1 audio?
Marcel

Well, the header field just names the number of streams, regardless if they are video or audio.
But is there a non-violent way to create a non-video AVI?

Hi guys. I have downloaded YS RealAnime but in the expert tab, source fps, i cannot find 25 fps (PAL). Is it an error?
Thanks in advance

It's not an error and it's not used :)
YS is fixed (IIRC) to 23.976FPS. Next release the FPS will be auto. AR has no use also and will be removed since we now have a workaround. Don't forget that YS is not even in alpha stage. Have fun testing :D

Hi Sirber,
to be true, as I don't have enough time (end-of-study oral exams are getting closer), I already steal more time for RealHandy as I should. Further, I don't own any other Delphi as Delphi 3, so I coulnd't compile unmodified source or modifiy it without erasing some properties of the components (you know, Delphi 3 came to market in a millenium that's long gone... ;) )
But if there are some code fragments or tricks or hints that could be shared, well, let's do it!
btw, I updated vidinfo.pas some minutes ago. As I found an MPEG1 file with "12" as aspect ratio, I had to add a line that makes a 2 of a 12, as this clip has been 4:3 (NTSC).

Hi Sirber
I have a hard time encoding avs scripts with YS Realanime.
In the moment i am processing some clips that i captured. It is PAL material so it has 25 frames per second.
When i load the avis that i have recorded with VirtualVCR and switch to expert mode, i can encode the files.
But when i try to load the avis via some AVS script (featuring opening the avis, cropping, resizing, deinterlacing and a little bit of filtering), I can add a job, but it will not start encoding. The job just dissappears from the job list.
What am i doing wrong?
Another question, but offtopic:
What filters to use with very noisy captures of an anime?
Up to now i did not see any improvement in the encoded file when filtereing the source ahead of compression.
I have tryed undot, Convolution3d(anime LQ/HQ) Limiter temporal smoother and some more. What can you suggest?

can you post a png or HQ jpeg shot of your capture ?
there's a lot of noise type, so without any shot a can't help you
to reduice the VHQ noise (blue or red dots) a good tips is to reduise the saturation of the capture card before record.
i'll wait your shot

Hi Sirber,
I hope u can add 'force directshow' feature in YS RealAnime.Then,i can load VOBSUB when i compress a avi file + a subtitle file(srt/ssa).
Also ,if YS RealAnime can load .MKV(XVID+AC3+srt) directly, it will be perfect.You know some DVD-Backup file is packaged with MKV.
another question about YS RealAnime,
I set the output Bitrate to 450kbps ,max 2250kbps(codec is real10 'elysian'+ HE-AAC),But the output file was 5xx kbps.I think i can not control the bitrate accurately.Also,I used dropdupe filter(Default setting).Is it the reason?
sorry,my english is weak,hope u can understand.

It is a file with an "avs" extension, not an "AVS". The script plays fine with VDub, MPC etc.

You can try the script and tell me, if it worked for you or not.
Just replace the two files in AVISource with valid ones on your HD and try to encode the resulting avs. If it workes for you, i will have to reinstall AviSynth.
The pictures are now available at:

Soon we will have AVISynth script generator ready as well as subs and external audio encoding / muxing. Preview 3 will be released with the last features, those new and those I talked before.
@damrod
I think I will just hide producer. I don't really need it's output. I also suspect that it also screw my API calls that manage producer.

I recently added a nice log engine, since producer will be hidden.

Yes,i used curve compression.I like it and inloop filter.That's why i use YS realanime(preview2),not realanime.Do u mean that the producer has an FPS problem?Do u have some suggestions that could resolve this problem.
because, before encoding, i do not know the FPS, i just use YS'S default setting.It seems Source(FPS 23.976)/General (MFPS: 30FPS)

YS is hardcoded to set 23.976FPS to the new curve. Also, using DropDupe with the curve might confuse it and reduce quality. About producer problem, you can't fix it :) I'm waiting for the next release before releasing any new build.

u mean that i shouldn't use dropdupe with the curve?I believe that dropdupe speed up the encoding obviously.Since u said it might reduce quality, i won't use it.

New RC works well with:

Old RC + DD works better on:

For AVI and MPEG1/2 (.mpg, .vob, .d2v) you can use TVideoInfo.FPS; it worked correctly for every file of that kind I had tested.

jeez
ActiveX is suck a pain when you want to use it as plain code, not in GUI mode. I got the ActiveX working ok. I'm removing producer commandline.
[edit]
I got it working in 5 minutes in GUI mode. I hate this VB style. I updated the screenshots. The DLL seems to handle each pass indenpendently (a word like that :D).
soHelixProducer.StartJob;
while (HelixProducer.IsRunning) do
Application.ProcessMessages;fails to wait if more than 1 pass (so at the second pass).

ciao! Preview 2 is hardcoded to 23.976FPS to workaround a bug of producer. In Preview 3, the source FPS will be detected automaticly. I will also remove AVS support (for input) since I can't use Morice's VidTool on them.

Moving from the cmdline version to the SDK is almost finished. The encoding works, 2-pass management also, what need to be done is error chekcing. Then, I have to create a bitrate calculator for the "external audio manager". After external audio/subs works with muxing, I might release Preview 3.

Please keep in mind that Coding Technologies, who we license our HE-AAC and AAC encoder from, invented HE-AAC (aacPlus), and even though I have no doubt Nero's HE-AAC implementation is very high quality, so should the one from Coding Technologies be.

But isn't it only CBR? I think for movies VBR would be much better, because there are a lot of silent scenes. And over at hydrogenaudio the real encoder wasn't that great in the listeningtest altough I know that it was only a aac and not aacplus(he-aac) test.

Yes, it is only CBR, and currently only available as 64, 96, and 128 kbps (HE-AAC). I may be wrong, but the VBR-ness of an audio codec is not so large that it really makes much of difference during the silent scenes. It is not like it will only use 12 kbps when it is quiet, and let video use the rest.
The AAC listening test showed only small differences. I would recommend your own listening to determine your preferences. Personally, I could not hear many differences from the original for most clips, except the "Waiting" clip, where it turned out I had selected iTunes first at 4.2, the CT encoder 2nd and 4.0, and Nero 3rd at 3.0. Besides, an AAC test at 128 kbps, is not much of a measure of HE-AAC at for instance 64 kbps, where the codec operates very differently.
So use whichever encoder gives you the best results, the Nero encoder has its advantages. I just wanted to mention the fact that Coding Technologies did invent HE-AAC.
Sirber
30th March 2004, 19:55
HE-AAC @ 32kbps would be cool also. At 128 it doesn't make sence...
==> All this IMHO :D
karl_lillevold
30th March 2004, 19:59
Sirber: I keep asking for more flavors, still no news. You are right, at 128 kbps, HE-AAC does not make that much sense.

Are you sure, that it won't use only i.e. 12kbps in very silent scenes? I normally did it that way: First I encoded the audio with nero vbr and then I looked how much space is left for the video. So it uses the bitrate which isn't used by the audio!
Big_Berny
karl_lillevold
30th March 2004, 20:24
you are quite right in that if you first encode the audio, you can use what is left for video. It is just that the variability of a VBR audio codec is not as large as for instance for video. Even during "silence" there will be background noise and sounds that the codec will faithfully try to reproduce with a much higher bitrate than you might think.

great news. Even though the helix community web site may be a little hard to navigate, it's good to have everything Helix related in one place. (and it is being cleaned up, project owners need to manage their projects to remove tools they do not need, like mailing lists if they prefer forum etc). anyway, everyone who has developed, know that CVS is useful to keep track of changes and backups, and that's part of what Helix provides. See you there.

Quick question (I've asked it on another thread but it might be too old to have an answer)
Can we encode interlaced stuff in RV10? I mean interlaced content encoded as interlaced not deinterlaced. At the moment I just saw the deinterlace / IVTC option in the encoders I ve tried.
Thanks

If you don't filter, it will be encoded interlaced (kinda) in a progressive way (only full frames). Better ask Karl :)

Hi!
I just tried the latest YS RealAnime CVS build, and I set everything up properly, and a few seconds after pressing the start button, I get the following error message:
Violation d'accès à l'adresse 60406076 dans le module helixprodctrl.dll. Ecriture de l'adresse 00000050

@Rumbah:
There is a batch file (regme.bat) that needs to be run to register the helix producer dll, if i remember right. Run the batch file and try again.

Well, I got it working. When I simply made the job file and encoded, everything worked, but I made a job file and then I changed the displayed settings that I get when clicking the job file (you see the standard settings). Then I started the encode and got this error message (I know it is stupid to change the settings afterwards, because they do not influence anything).
I found another bug. When I select filesize in the output field, and select a filesize, a far too small file is the result. I chose 600 MB and the resulting video was only 80MB and very ugly (80MB for a 100 min 720x576 movie :)). I think it is because in the job file, there is this line:
<rcTargetVideoSize type="uint">600</rcTargetVideoSize>
Am I wrong, or do you have to insert the size in KB, not in MB so that producer targeted 600 KB?

This project has become too big for only me to maintain it. No one
seems interrested in it. The main goal of this project was to merge
Satsuki Yatoshi GUi and RealAnime into one project. This might not
appen if it continu like it is right now. I will close this "too big
for one man" project and restart old good RealAnime, in Delphi CLX
this time.

Could you post your latest sources for public under an BSD style license ( http://www.opensource.org/licenses/bsd-license.php )? It wouldn't do any harm but would allow other people to take a closer look. :)

in delphi clx?? do you plan to make a linux version??
if yes you must use the cmdline producer no?

The linux commandline producer doesn't support any input besides uncompressed avis afaik :(
And as piping isn't possible atm, it is only good for capturing (imho)
