View Full Version : Canopus procoder v1.5 crashing

Hi everyone,

I have been trying to test Canopus v1.5. However, I find that it terminates far earlier that it should do. DVD2SVCD displays the message 'Program handle not found' and continues the rest of the process.

This is a quirk of my Athlon XP1800+ machine, since other people seem to have used the same version of canopus procoder v1.5 ok. However, there is nothing easily identifably wrong the machine (memtest, CCE, TMPG etc all work ok).

I wonder if anyone has had a similar problem, and if so how did you fix it?

Regards,
Bob

I'm not trying to be snooty or anything, but does DVD2SVCD work with Procoder? I thought it was CCE only?

Anyway, how does it run when you try to run it by itself through its own interface? Does it still crash then?

Hi Dan,

Yes, DVD2SVCD does (or should) work with procoder. It is fine with Procoder v1.01.35 provided the encoding time is less than 24 hours. Currently procoder requires a VFAPI frameserver to be present within DVD2SVD. I'll try running it on its own at a later date. This isn't much use though since you lose the fantastic automation of the whole D2S process.

Bob
