AC3 issues

Hi

I am unsure if the AC3 filter installed is doing it's job. I've checked with GraphEdit and it's showing as reg'd in the system, but when ever playing back the AC3 format the DS properties tab does not show any sound passing through it's levels.

The odd thing is, when I us use vodsub; I can access the AC3 properties and see the sound levels going up and down.

How can I tell if the AC3 filter is working when not using vobsub?

If you access the properties through the start menu, you will never seen the audio levels, even if the filter is in use. The filter has to be accessed through the player, which is what you are doing with Vobsub. Mplayer2, MPC, Zoom Player, BSplayer, and many others are able to access filter properties while playing.

Thanks KpeX, the answer is spot on.

One last thing, I've checked with Zplayer's FAQs and played with it's control pannel, but I can't find how to access the AC3 filter as I can do through VobSub.

If you are familar with Zoom Player, can you tell me how to access the AC3 filter.

Right click > filter properties > AC3Filter.
