Not sure this is the best forum for this, but anyway...I have an xvid avi including mp3 audio and converting the file results in serious desync (around a second I think).
I know I can manually fiddle around to determine the approximate delay but that is rather tricky/annoying (especially as this is just a temporary conversion for purposed of convenience). The relative lengths of the video/audio streams don't provide any aid either as there's only a 2 frame difference.
Just to be clear this is not a botched conversion issue as:
-Sync is fine on original avi
-Sync is well off when video and audio are demuxed and then remuxed without setting an audio delay.
So it's simply a question of determining the audio delay used in muxing. AFAIK this is not currently possible (although I don't understand why), please tell me I'm wrong :/
Thanks :)
