could someone tell me what xl.3ivx.mov is please and if it is possible to make a dvd from it? I hope this is an allowed question

well actually i can only guess from the file name, but i'd say it is an mpeg4 video stream encoded with the 3ivx codec in the quicktime (*.mov) container...

for converting it to DVD:
just search for mov to avi conversion in the forum and then follow the guides for avi2DVD instructions!
