I'm not sure if I posted this in the right place... anyway...
There's a movie I want to copy to a DVD-R. Instead of being in one DVD-9, it came in two DVD-5... :mad: The content of the two DVDs is exactly the same, including the extras. The differense is that in each DVD the main movie has 4 different audio tracks (8 total).
I want to keep the movie with just 2 audio tracks, one in each of the DVDs. :confused: Of coarse it can fit in a DVD-R without recompresion. How can I do that?

you forgot to say whether the two audio streams you wish to keep are on the same dvd-5.
if they are you can use dvdshrink or ifoedit (i am sure there are other programs that will do this) to remove the other audio streams.
if not you are going to have to demux one dvd-5, and the required audio from the other, and using an authoring program of your choice substitute one of the unwanted audio streams for the required one and remux.
a better forum to post this question would be in the 'dvd authoring' forum.
good luck with your project

Thanks for awsering...
The two audio streams are not in the same DVD-5.
With what programs it'd be easy to demux the DVDs, and then author a new one?

dvd decryptor is great for demuxing from dvd. just fix the ac3 delay with dvd decryptor.
what i'd do is run dif4u on the first disk.. then rename all the files to read the final filenames as they would after batchccews was finished (although you dont actually run batchccews) then toss the new ac3 in place of one of the others
make your reauthorist script , import into scenarist.. author burn beer bye

@trahald
thats the biggest problem with the guides ...
they always miss one of the most fundamental steps to a successfull back-up...
