Works for me.

It's just that sometimes a build is already linked while the packages are still being built or something, so if all you get is a blank page or a file not found message just wait a few minutes and try again; at least that's what I usually do.

np: Hallucinator - Red Angel (Landlocked)

when the packages appear on the site their already built but still uploading, considering i have 6k/s upstream it takes a little while, i tell everyone to wait 20mins and try again normally, if it still doesnt work its a bad build and try another 1

Your dshow filter doesn't work in my PC since you updated it to new dshow filter.
In the installer, it says: could not load: xvid.ax

it seems that Gamr's site is down for a while...
is it true or I have some connection issue(s)?

It has been awhile. I did a gcc pentium4 compile awile ago. Been one minor update since then. I could do another compile if it is wanted or do -march/-mtune=???.

i'd appreciate an athlon build :)
does your compile include a working xvid.ax?

celtic_druid

Sure does, well the gcc p4 build I did, did. Although my ICL compiles work fine on Athlon-xp's... Never done a comparitive benchmark though.

Done, although on closer inspection you said Athlon, not Athlon-XP.

well of course athlon xp :) bought a 1700xp and added 700-1000mhz (working/gaming) so it was my cheapest cpu ever (60€ march last year)
okay back to the topic...where can i get it from?...ok never mind i googled it :)
big thx!

Yeah saw that. I think the only actual legitmate google hit, the rest of them are just people using certain search terms to randomly look for movies to download.

Was having trouble getting modrewrite to just redirect those hits so I just redirected all google hits.

well that's also some kind of spam we have to live with

so, any chance to get Gamr's site working?
it was so useful...

Guess someone would need to speak to Gamr and find out what the deal is.

In the mean time I have gcc compiled Athlon and Athlon-XP of the latest source binaries up. Also a P4 build, but it is missing Syskin's latest fix. If anyone wants it updated I can do that.

Yes, it would be nice to see last build from you, for Athlon XP, if possible :)

Does anyone know if the VBV code in the 1.1 development tree is working? I don't have the ability to try it at this time but mostly what I'm looking for is whether it removes the bitrate spikes that cause most DivX Certified DVD players to skip and jump. Has anyone tried it?

celtic_druid

Last time I checked the initial code had been added but is disabled by default. Don't think anything has changed since then. If you search there are some builds with it enabled around here somewhere.

No idea what is up, but there is at least one other thread discussing this.

Some Jawor's builds are VBV enabled but they're quite OLD.

i asked gam3r 2 days ago and he said something about moving his host and that his sites will probably be back online the next days...
but i'm not quite sure if this includes his xvid builds, but i believe it does :)

I'll put up a 1.1-build soon if i find the time. Maybe with some extra honey like choosable rate control (GomGom's 'looose' scaling vs. Foxer's 'stricter' scaling. + VBV compliance if desired).

I have to see how to merge sysKin's bframe bugfix in - after that you'll even enjoy a new xvid icon ;)

Good morning mates,

I need a little help from some of you. I managed to use winCVS (yes, no linux server at home in my new flat ;) ) to merge sysKin's bframe fixes into my tree with choosable RC+VBV and bframe VHQ. I did build an installer for it also.

BUT: I couldn't test it, if it really works now (or if the merge did break the old working features). So I need some of you to send me their email address as PM so I can send the build and do some tests with the options enabled/disabled, compare that to older builds - and of course some PSNR figures from the comparison would rock.
If the build works as expected I'll put it online for the whole world.

At least from the guts I'd say if everything works like it should this is the best build the world has ever seen ;)

To put it short: I need some of you to do some hard, time intensive work. PSNR figures of options enabled/disabled compared against an old build.

Thank you,

regards
Koepi
