I have recently acquired a program called DVDFab Which is supposed to be an all in one product. It is supposed to shrink the dvd to fit on one disc if that is what you desire or copy it completely and put it on two discs. It works great untill the burn process then I get this error "Failed When Writing DVD Image Error 8192". Anybody have any idea what this means or how I can get this software to work. I went to thier web site and tried to contact thier support but it kept taking me back to the home page. Any help would be greatly appreciated.:(

dvdfab doesn't transcode.
either you strip out all extraneous audio to fit on one dvd±r or you split it to two dvd±rs.

Just like dvd x copy. People spent $99 on that program thinking it would make a copy on one dvd+r. Then said..oh well two blank dvd±rs are no big deal.

Anyway you can just have dvdfab output your video files and then use ImgTool Classic to burn them with dvddecrypter.

Having played with this program a little more I have found that it makes a temp file that contains four files. Two are ISO files and two are VIDEO_TS files. I tried burning an ISO file with DVDDECYPTER but it would not play. I burned one of the VIDEO_TS files with Nero and it played fine. I burned the second VIDEO_TS file with nero and it worked so I was able to get the entire movie without having to shrink it. I generally use DVDDecryter, DVD2ONE for shrinking and Nero for burning but every once in awhile I have a movie that I want to keep in it's original condition. DVDFAB seemed to be the program I needed but apparantly it won't work for me as advertised. I can still get the entire movie by burning from the VIDEO_TS files it creates but not as convenientely as I had hoped. Thanx fro responding to my request, all help and info are greatly appreciated.

I use DVDfab on long movies that I don't want to shrink way down. First use DVD Decrypter then open those files in DVD fab. DVD fab will the split the disc into 3 discs. Disc 1 will have the menu/extras/start of movie, and disc 2 will have the rest of the movie. Then I took the 2 folders DVD fab made (disc 1 & 2) and burned them with nero.

I did this with Titanic, and didnt have a problem at all.

Thanx for the info, I will give it a try as soon as I get a movie I do not want to shrink. Right now I am looking for "The Good, The Bad And The Ugly" with Clint Eastwood one of my alltime favoret westerns.:)
