I have some DivX files that I want to use in a music video, and I'm using Final Cut to edit. I'm pretty sure that Final Cut can't read DivX, so what format should I convert the files to? One where there will be little or no loss of quality?

Quicktime would probably work, dunno if there will be any quality loss tho. Is it possible to convert DivX to Quicktime?

Use any true lossless codec....
--> RGBuncommpressed
(only if you have no other choice and got the place)
--> HuffYuv ( working solution, half of the size of RGBUnc...)
--> Marc FD VBLE codec ( works in yv12, so less place used, faster)
--> CorePng ( if you are tempting to test something...)

PS:If you can, avoid using raw material such as tv encodes,
or even fansubs (quality being lower...), and if you do that,
keep the script //or the sequence source you use just
to make a better one when you'll have vobs...
(and any person doing AMV should buy the dvd...)
