Taking Screen Shots.

What software can take screen shots of avi/ogm files.If i use alt+print screen when playing in media player but when u paste in media player theres just a blank media player image.I tryed bsplayer but that dont wanna work(i mean the player its self give me grif).I also tryed virualdubmod as the normal virtualdub wont load ogm.The mod version tells me something about cant display, something to do cannot load decompresser for format 'DX50'.

I use the Zoomplayer...so I can only say how it works with ZP.

but you have to use VMR9 as renderer (Options -> Manual filters), to get VMR9 to work you need the installation of DirextX 9

under "options --> values&tools-->Other" you can put the path for the sreenshot for saving


Probably you use the "Overlay Mixer" in the other players. That's the reason that you only get a black screenshot.
Use VMR9 instead...then it should work in every player with sreenshot function.

Why don't you use built in capture (u can take snapshot in original size or resized one)... image formats jpg, bmp, maybe some other too (see in preferences).

Anyway why do you use printscreen?

For RadLight 4 : CTRL + F12

(default is BMP, but I prefer PNG ;) )

No need to use specific renderer ... works with all of them :cool:

For AIW Player: switch to vmr9 renderer (can be done on the fly) and press ALT+PRINTSCREEN. :)

I'm looking for a player that can screen cap to PNG.
I'm trying to eliminate the conversion step from bmp.

Any new recommendations appreciated.

You could use vlc: press video/snapshot (a hotkey can also be defined, default is ctrl+alt+s) ...
