Problems splitting a 1400 Mb avi file and repeated audio track (1st)

Hi, I have AutoGK 0.90b, (VirtualDubMod 1.5.4.1). I have two problems.

When I choose to make a 2CD avi file. The file length of single avi is ok, but the other two avi's AutoGK make are bigger that 700 Mb.

Original avi file: 1432822 Kb
After splitting: CD1 -> 838232 kb
CD2 -> 865330 kb

And the most important!!!! Original avi file has two audio tracks, english and spanish, but after splitting, each avi file has two tracks, only now they are english only.

same problem here, with Version 1.0, Filesize is ok, but audio got doubled, in my case, I got two times english audio instead of 1xGerman and 1xEnglish.

Its weird, cause the whole avi (the one before getting split up) file is made with the correct audio languages, only after being split up into two parts, the languages are the same.

anyone got same problem here?

Hi-

I'm assuming that you want the first main audio track as AC3, and then the second one becomes MP3. Is that right? So, try something for me. Open the unsplit .avi in VDubMod and then go Streams->Streams List, and you'll see the 2 audio tracks, and the top one should be AC3, and the bottom one should be MP3.

Now open one of the split .avi's in VDubMod and do the same thing. If both are now AC3, then that would explain the oversize, marteaga. And you should probably upgrade to 1.0. But that doesn't explain why you wound up with 2 of the same audio tracks in the first place. Until len0x gets back and can explain or fix this, I'm afraid you'll have to split the unsplit file yourself, since you both say that it has the correct audio streams. If you need directions on how to do that, then just ask. It'll be a good learning experience. I know; you're using AutoGK to avoid having to learn these things. :)

Maybe I did, and maybe I didn't. You said that before the split, you had 2 languages, and after the split you had one language twice, is that right?

So I was saying that until the problem is fixed by len0x, you'll have to go back and split it yourself. By doing that, you'll keep both languages.

you are right, after the split, the oversize is because there are two AC3 streams with the english language, I mean, the main audio track.

The whole avi has two streams, one AC3 whith the english track and another one mp3 with the spanish track, and like you suggest I split it by myself until len0x can fix it.

that is a faulty line, index of a stream should be 1. will be fixed.
