Nerodigital and .mp4 compliant Players?

When nerodigital was released they said that standalone players suporting .mp4 with aac playback would be available but still i have been unaware of any such devices being rleased.

Does anyone knoiw about the supoort of .np4 in hardware players and when it should be expect if at all?

there are currently no standalone players unless you want to count a modded xbox. There will be, but it's a matter of time. I'd not expect anything short-term.. My guess is that by next Christmas we'll still be waiting, but that obviously also depeneds on the lobbying companies supporting mp4 (Ahead, 3ivX) do with hardware manufacturers, and whether DivXNetworks will eventually add MP4 to one of their certification profiles (currently there are no such plans).

So, I'd go with the "it's done when it's done" mantra. Don't expect anything so you can be positively surprised if something is released.

i can not add much to what doom9 said

there are rumours that two relatively known manufacturers will support it (well such rumours are also there for ogm and matroska)

i think we should be really carefull about these rumours (and in fact till now they are not more) because the manufacturers tend to promise everything to make people buy their player, expecting that future firmaware upgrades will add support for their "babies", which maybe will never happen...
thats also the reason why i dont mention any firms here

so if you buy a player only have a look on what it offers right now, dont trust any promises
