I suspect 2Cool may have already addressed this however I was unable to find one of his guides so I figured I would post the question:

I have a single DVD with 2 movies on it. The first movie resides in VTS_1_x.VOB, the second movie resides in VTS_2_x.VOB. I need to put the two movies on seperate discs. The second currently contains the following files:

VIDEO_TS.IFO
VIDEO_TS.BUP
VIDEO_TS.VOB
VTS_01_0.IFO {Included only for compliance}
VTS_01_0.BUP {Included only for compliance}
VTS_01_0.VOB {Included only for compliance}
VTS_02_0.IFO
VTS_02_0.BUP
VTS_02_0.VOB {Movie is in this set of VOB's}
VTS_02_1.VOB {Movie is in this set of VOB's}
VTS_02_2.VOB {Movie is in this set of VOB's}
VTS_02_3.VOB {Movie is in this set of VOB's}

I have done GET VTS sectors to correct sector issues, however, both Imgtool Classic and Nero are looking for VTS_01_1.VOB and VTS_01_2.VOB which are the first movie and never played on the second disc. Does anyone know where they would be referenced in the IFO files that I can edit to remove their requirement or have any other suggestion on how to get rid of the dependence on these files to build a compliant disc? IFOEDIT has no issues playing the disc in its current configuration so I have no navigation errors that I am aware of.

Thanks much,
Riprazor

I would recommend you to do this with DVD Shrink - it allows you to extract a part of disk and build it up as a separate disk.

Unfortunately, neither program allows you to maintain the menu structure which defeats the purpose.

use titlesetblanker and blank out each VTS_0x_x.VOB's for each DVD

simple, fast and effective ;)

Thanks Mack, I did something similar and was succesfull, I deleted all of the cells from the VOB and was able to get ImgTools to accept the files with no errors. The resulting disc then played properly, including all of the custom menu work I did in Ifoedit, on my set top box.
