avs script speed measuring tool?

as xvid 1.0 is coming nearer and nearer, to be prepared, i started again to play around with various avs scripts

by doing this (and having in mind that i am still running an old pentium3 866mhz cpu/i am also always looking at the speed of a script/filter) i got the idea that some sort of tool for the measurement of the speed of scripts/filters would be a nice thing

i am thinking of a tool which you can feed with a special avs script (define a special part via trim) and play (or encode via xvid firstpass or so) this script at highest process priority and than measure/log the needed speed to play/encode this part

if you do this with various script it would be nicely possible to relatively (!) compare the speed of a various scripts/filters on your system

i know this is also possible already if you sit with a stopwatch in front of your pc :D
but an automatic tool would make this much more easier and precise
