Hi, I use dvdmaestro v2.9.2915a to create my vobs, and they work all fine on my stand alone. But I've notice an annoying bug when I play the vobs on my pc with powerdvd. They work fine as well, but all the 8 audio tracks and all the 32 subtitle tracks ARE USED. DVDMaestro creates empty tracks on the vobs, and this tracks are all disable, but they are there. I used dvdshrink to open the vobs, and the tracks are all there too. This empty tracks are created on menus as well, even if I don't use any audio track on them.
I wonder if there is a way to create vobs just with the tracks I'm going to use.
Any idea?
THANKS.

Make a playlist for your entire movie (see manual), then in the playlist properties you can disable audio and subpicture streams.

well, if you've already run shrink (3.1+), just run it thru, disabling all audio+sub tracks you don't need, no shrinking is necessary so set all to 'uncompressed', and with no analyzing - this process should be quick and you'll get a 'clean' set of vobs.
you can also post-process the ifo's with ifoedit, but all these ideas are a 2nd phase.
To get it FTR (First Time Right) - do what Moderator said... ;-)

I've created the playlist, but the empty tracks are still there.

I've tried that, but still the same.

Well did you right-click the playlist in the treeview to the left and selected "Properties", then checked the audio/sub streams you do not want?

Here's another option...
Just had a quick squiz using IFOEdit and noticed that in the VTSI_MAP section you can change the number of audio and subpicture stream values in VTS_TTVOBS. Changing that value will result in DVDSshrink only recognising the subpicture and audio streams that actually exist, the data for the nonexistent audio streams remains in the IFO though (just compare with retail DVD).
This change of course may have other implications...
