Hi im experimenting at work on som bad source material origionally stored in Digibeta and then edited and "digitized" through a NLE system and exported into a mpeg hl@hp 50i format (50mbit i-frame only).
The content is anything from the 30s til now and has lotsa pixeldust, shades and most of all lotsa vertical and horizontal strikes.
Are there any noise removers or any 3d filters that can lessen the noise and remove these streaks ? I need to encode the result into wmv9 so noise removal is essential since the wmv9 codec really dislike noise..
Should i deinterlace first with ex. decomb5.11? and then eg. mipsmooth ?
any suggestions is mostly apriciated.
