Please tell me:

Q1. I want to start an encoding in GKnot from the secondpass SETTINGS file. How can I load it? Or should I do it in VDubMod direct ? If so, how ?

Q2. Why is the secondpass SETTINGS file no different in content from the firatpass SETTINGS file except in Line 9 ?:
“VBR Mode”=dword:00000002 [first pass SETTINGS]
“VBR Mode”=dword:00000003 [second pass SETTINGS] ....What am I missing ?

Q3. Compressibility Check generates two files: one is in the GKnot folder (‘LastCompCheck_GKnot.log’) and the second one (Film_5_perc_DivX5_LancosResize_BreadthxHeight.log) in the folder where the .d2v file sits. It is the first file that I have to load if I press the ‘Load’ button.

---3a. How can I program for the first file to be always in the same folder as the second?
---3b. What is the use of the second file?

Thanks and regards.

1.
Can I launch another stint of encoding from secondpass SETTINGS file?

2.
Can I program so that the CompCheck files sits in the folder where the current job is taking place?

3.
Why is the secondpass SETTINGS file no different in content from the firstpass SETTINGS file except in Line 9 ?:

“VBR Mode”=dword:00000002 {this is in first pass SETTINGS)
“VBR Mode”=dword:00000003 (this is in second pass SETTINGS)

....What am I missing ?

Regards.

Hello

I think the question about the secondpass SETTING is foolish. This file is from the settings that I have opted in the codec's settings, isn't it? I actually meant the file that GKnot makes from the information gathered from the first-pass.

I withdraw the question. Sorry for taking everyone's time. Some more reading is indicated...

Thanks and regards.
