Hi,

After searching the forum for a while for stuff relating to my problem I have had no luck :( maybe cause I’m not sure what to search for other than "Pal" & "Interlacing". If a thread exists covering this please point me to it :)

My problem is I have a PAL DVD source with almost every third frame containing a blend of 2 pictures/frames? I suspect because it’s an anime DVD, it has been converted from an NTSC DVD source? So is there anyway to fix/solve this for the XviD I want to make? Would be sweet if it were possible.

It is possible but not in xvid. Xvid is a codec, not a video manipulation library/proggy/whatever.

Use avisynth for that. Go to avisynth forum and search for "telecine" or "interlacing" - but I fear you're in trouble now, because inverse telecine should have been done when DVD was being converted from NTSC.
I'm not an expert though.

Good luck,
Radek
