As the topic says...

I haven't used GKnot since like .22 or something..

Anyhow i saw the option for splitting the movie into CD size chunks..

2 CD rip, AC3 sound, Xvid 1.0 Jambo! etc...

castaway_movie.avi came out at 1.4gb (2cd's)

but castaway_1 and castaway_2 were both 2gb each!

i'm doing another movie tonight... will post and see if i can reproduce said bug...

(silly me deleted everything before i thought about posting on the forum.)

There are limitations and restrictions for using XviD 1.0 with Gknot, see http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=67750

If that doesn't help, then post your log file.

Hi-

What version of VDubMod are you using? One of them (1.5.10.1, I think), has that bug that produces big .avi's when split. You can update your version of GKnot, as (I think) a newer version of GKnot has gone back to the older version of VDubMod (1.5.4.1). Or you can split it yourself with NanDub. Or you can keep the version of GKnot you have, and just replace the version of VDubMod with the older one. Lots of choices.

uh hello? this is a bug report...

jggimi
15th February 2004, 03:50
Splitting with VdubMod 1.5.10.1 is a known bug, and was fixed at 0.28.7.1. Your last message mentioned you are running 0.28.7. The current release is 0.28.7.2. See http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=63271 for details.

Not all splitting issues are completely solved, apparently. I note an additional bug report at the GKnot SourceForge website, which may or may not yet have been vetted:
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=893787&group_id=77391&atid=550084

I am moving this to the GK Development Forum, to ensure Len0x and his team see it.
