Basically I have four questions about protable HD Players/Recorders

1. Which manufactureres are there?

2. How many hours do they run?

3. How long do they live? I.e. how reliable are they? Are they shock proof or rather fragile?

4. Are there any recommendations regarding companies from which to be or not?

Yeah, I know Archos, but heard ratherbad things about the 'robustness' and total 'time-to-live' of the Archos Jukebox.
