Ok, now this has been a thorn on my side and I've been trying to solve this for hours and hours now. I have a dvd-r recorder and I wanted to back up one of my laserdiscs, now those of you who are unfimiliar with Ld's they have to be flipped over half way through, so what I decided to do was let the recorder keep recording even when I was flipping the LD, thus recording about 35 seconds of black and Blue screen.
So after I finished with the movie, I open it up in TMPGEnc for menues and such. When i come accross to editing in the program i think its nice and easy, i just mark in and out the part i want gone and cut, simple right. Not quite so. After I author my freshly edited DVD and burn to a DVD-R I notice that while I am watching it, that when it comes to the part where I cut out, there is a little skip, the transition is not smooth, I want a perfect copy and I rhough no big deal, but I can't seem to find a program that fits my needs.
The "cut" part is about 3 quarters through VOB2 so I tried Chopper XP but found that I can't cut out pieces, so if I want the part gone I am left with two VOBs for that one. So what should I do?
To sum it up I just want to edit out that 30 seconds of blank screen with no noticible blip while watching the movie. Also I realize I could convert the file to mpeg or AVI but I don't think/hope that would be necesary. I guess what I'm looking for is a good VOB editer. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP.
