Heres the scenario,
Decided to give this one a try this evening as it has two versions of the movie. VTS 1 = 2 pgcs, special and theartre.

Have RTFMs :) AND IT WORKED. :D

BUT (theres always a but) the complied project is rather undersized, usually with DIF4U the compiled project is spot on size wise. What I mean by this, is that I could have had a much higher bitrate and much bigger video stream about 1.5gb bigger!!

Now I stripped by vobid but had both PGCs ticked in DIF4U, was this where my trouble stemmed from? Should I only have selected the one pgc.

Well selecting the one PGC wasnt the answer, the bitrate (AVE) has come out of DIF4U exactly the same, RA wont read this as vobid rip so going straight to BatchCCE.

ANYONE?

i dont know why your project came out undersized but i can point you to another 'FM' to read.
check trilights site
http://dvdguides.trilight.net/ and read up on how to use the internal calculator from DIF4U to work out your bitrates.

One step ahead of you, Ive already had a play with the calculator.
Just about to find out if my first encode using the results from it worked..

Was hoping for a simple answer, but obviously there isnt one, did this title before and was all manually done took me about three weeks!!! Even if I have too do the calculations myself the automation of the rest will be a godsend!

cheers anyway.

I'm interested in the result. I have looked at the structure of ID4 but never reauthored it. Didn't it also have button over video?

No button over on this one, this is the two disc R4 pal version.
All extras on 2nd disc (which was a quite simple to duplicate).
Main disc was just two sets of menus one for each version of film and 5 commentary tracks 3 for special and 2 for theatrical.

This is actually quite a simple title and DIF4 (with sceneaid and batch cce) handled it well except for the size problem. when I get some spare time im going to give it a better look.

My results I mention on previous post were better but not brilliant
