DVD2AVI question

When i'm running DVD2AVI when I begin my DVD to XviD conversion i've noticed that on one film it will switch back from NTSC and Film and the percentage will range from 50% to 90%.

Why does that happen? Source quality? And how do you fix it?

It's due to how the MPEG-2 flags are set in the video stream. Your experience leads me to beleive you are seeing some progressive and some interlaced frames. Perhaps http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=34696 will point you in the right direction.
