I'm sorry to bother you guys with this but for some reason I can't work out how to configure BeSweet's GUI and software to do the following: -

* Convert a 6Ch .AC3 stream to either a 6Ch .wav stream or 6No mono .wav streams.

Just to put you in the picture, I create all my 6Ch .AC3 streams by using DVDdecrypter (which is set to Stream Processing/Demux mode).

Anyway, I've downloaded the BeSweetGUI (v0.6), BeSweet AC3Machine (v0.41) and BeSweet (v1.4) but I have to ask...

* Where do I install these files in my PC
* Have I got the correct files to do what I want

I've tried following the guides but for some reason I can't make sense of them... I must be stupid I guess. That said when the BeSweet GUI is set to 'Wizard' mode. It looks like it should be able to do what I require.

Hope you guys can help a thicko guy like me?

Cheers

You need to download besweet (not only the gui).
Then, make a folder named "besweet" for example, then unzip the besweet pack in that folder, then the besweet gui pack.
That`s all.

I guess the title says it all!

I've already tried headac3he (v0.23a) but for some reason the 6Ch wavs are not mapped in the correct order!

Are there any other tools available. That are idiot proof?

Cheers

That`s all. Do you mean BeSweet (v1.4)?

It already exists, it's called BeSweet. Download BeSweet, v1.4 or 1.5beta and simply run it from commandline. A simple example commandline is besweet -core ( -input c:\path\input.ac3 -output c:\path\output.wav -6chwav ) To create six mono wavs, simply replace -6chwav with -6ch.

I merged the two similar threads, hope you don't mind.

I'm asking the question because I think I've found a GUI tool that can easily create 6Ch AAC LC and HE streams using Nero's encoder.

At the moment I've only been able to test the application with a very short (5sec) 6Ch .wav 'speaker test' file. A more realistic test will of course require an much longer file, but like I say I can't get my head round setting up BeSweet.

I'm sorry to be such a pain.

Cheers

EDIT: Of course I don't mind

You can do AC3>AAC directly with a GUI with both Foobar2000 and Oagmachine. See the AAC FAQ for more detailed information.

KpeX,

Thanks very much for your help.

I tried Foobar2000, it works quite well but appears to be very slow at converting 6Ch AC3 - 6Ch AAC an AAC-HE was a little distorted.

I'm gonna give Oagmachine a go now!

The other tool I used was dbpoerAMP. Which at the moment, can't accept an AC3 (only 6Ch wav) input.

Thanks again
