Sorry, this problem has made me in to an out of control internet junkie, spending hours in that all to well know LCD display hypnotic state. My problem is that I have a collection of avi’s encoded with wmp9 video that play on my pc great. I just acquired an apple PowerBooks which avi’s are no go. I will however play wmv’s so I’m trying to go from avi to wmv by demux/remuxing. I know the audio stream will have to be recoded in wma format, but I want to keep the video since it’s already in the wmp9 format.
Steps so far
1. DEmuxing avi failed with vidtoasf or graphedit ( this is the bugger)
2. audio recode – success with wmp9 encoder
3. muxing – success with wmp9 utility stream editor
