Hi to all,
I've been using WMP9 to catalogue my mp3 files and suddenly I have this weird problem. I have deleted many of them but they keep showing up in the Media Library. When I try to delete them again from there they are gone but they show up again every time I start the player.
Has anyone run into this problem? Any idea how to fix it?
Thanks in advance

My first XP system had Musicmatch Jukebox pre-installed, and I remember having a lot of problems with it conflicting with my Media Player, duplicate files, etc. Don't know if this has any bearing on your situation, just a thought.

No, I don't have musicmatch installed. I have only creative's mediasource but it's pretty inactive so far

I use Winamp 2.91 with its library function. If you have deleted files you simply click on 'Compact Library' and it will remove all dead entries from the library.
Also it doesnt eat up that much cpu / memory as WMP9 ;)

The reason this is happening it because WMP9 is monitoring that folder. Go to Options > Media Library and click on the Monitor Folders button. Remove that folder from the list.
@communist
WMP9 has WAY cooler skins than Winamp.

I listen to the music and dont look at skins ;)
I prefer simple skins - thats why I use MPC/MP 6.4 for video and Winamp for audio instead of WMP7+ :)
