Hello, smart guys

Recently, When I used G.Knot(0.28.7) and clicked "Open" button for a avi of XVID code (Koepi's XVID-1.0-RC1 25012004), I got a message "File is not a valid dvd2avi project, avi or avs file!"

Thus, I tried all files fo XVID code in my HD, but they were the same result.

So, I changed the code (Koepi's XVID-24062003-1).
Amazing! I can open avi of XVID code normally.

But now, I still want to use Koepi's XVID-1.0-RC1. Who can tell me how to solve this problem?

Thanks for your responses! :)

Hi-

Since GKnot doesn't yet support the XviD 1.0 versions, that's probably the reason.

yoooooo

no, I think Toll was not speaking about the xvid 1.0 compatibility with GK for encoding but about the way GK open avi file.

GK can not open avi file encoded with xvid (any version) resulting in a "File is not a valid dvd2avi project, avi or avs file!" message (!!!)
but just by changing the FourCC values to DIVX (using "Nic's FourCC changer" for example) GK can open the same file without any problem.

Can someone explain that??

Hi-

Yes, I realized that when I wrote the answer. But since I don't have any XviD 1.0 videos to test, I don't know if I gave the right answer.

GK can not open avi file encoded with xvid

In my case, anyway, that's not true. I have many XviD videos on my hard drive encoded with Koepi's 6/24/03 that open just fine. And the FourCCs are all XVID. Even Toll said that his Koepi 6/24 .avi's open OK.

Can someone explain that??

Not I.

Well, It seems I only use old version...

However, thanks for help!
