New Main Movie Only Guide

Well this should have been released about 6 months ago but i've been busy and haven't had a chance to finish it till now. I have put together a very nice guide that should be able to walk anyone through the whole process of backing up dvds and i would love some input back from the very guys who taught me in the fisrt place (YOU). Now some of the programs in this guide need to be revised since newer versions have been released since i started writing this guide. However i need some feedback from you guys before i go any futher. Please take a few mins to look it over and tell me what you think. Also it would be wonderful if some of you guys wanted to help me revise or add to the guide. Just make the changes or additions and post it in this tread and state what you added or changed and i will keep track and re-release versions under my name as we go.

Here goes the opinion of an inexperienced person. By inexperienced, I mean someone that knows how to copy/re-author a DVD only when using apps like DVDShrink (when I'm lazy and I want a DVD as the copy) and Gordian Knot (when I'm not that lazy and I want an .avi as the copy).

I haven't read all your guide, for it's sort of long. I haven't tested it either, for it uses a lot of programs that I never tried to use. But I can tell you three things:

1 - it seems to be well written, carefully written.
2 - despite "1", it would be good to have some screenshots of the configuration dialogs, but this is not a must but a luxury :-)
3 - the major problem with these kind of guides, not only yours, but many others at Doom9 and other sites, is that the steps take into consideration very specific versions of a bunch of applications; even though apps don't change too much from one minor version to another, they do change and it's not that rare to kind of get lost when you don't find a certain setting where it was supposed to be because either it has changed place or it has gone or been substituted by another equivalent setting. You use 14 apps/files, many of them with settings to configure, and having so many setting to set, and not having exactly the versions you used, it's not uncommon at all for me to get lost and give up.

Anyway, you have put a lot of effort in your guide. Nice job.
