How to do a compressibility check with RC1?

I've been looking for the right XviD settings to use for a compressibility check from GKnot with 1.0 RC1.

Is it better to use 1pass or just the 1st pass of a 2pass encode? What bitrate, and first pass settings, etc should I use?
