Menu Problem?

Just used the big 3 on Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights Series 1 and everythings ok apart from one small problem. In powerdvd if i go from the main menu to the extra's menu and then choose the outakes, powerdvd comes up with a black screen which in fact should be another options screen asking if you want 'swearing on' or 'swearing off'. Strange thing is the options are there on the black screen because i can hover over them and then select one and then carry on with the dvd as normal. Just wondered if there was anything i could do to regain the missing picture. Thanxs fellas.

are you using numenu4u?
where does this part of the menu reside?

i have noticed this a few times on some dvds i have backed-up that contain slideshows/photos in the menu - except in these cases the whole screen was green?!?!

to fix it you would have to demux the original menu to find the still menu image, then demux your 'shrunk' menu, import your menu items into an authoring package, replace the mising image with the image from the original and recreate all of your buttons/commands etc.

menuedit might be able to fix this in an easier way but i dont know enough about its capabilities sorry.

Thanks for the reply jel, i did indeed use numenu4u, but seems like the answer to this problem could be a little complicated for me especially the scenarist bit as im very new to the big 3 and can only use the automated process at this moment in time.
