anyone used the big 3 on this yet?
i tried and when it sends it to RA... something weird happens and the main movie is missing and one of the trailers (longer one) is thought to be the movie and reencoded to size like 700% or bigger...
is there a guide for this with the big3
i also want to rip all the trailers and keep the 2 bonus features
(did not do this the first time)

you will get error messages like that from RA if the title is multi-angle. i have never even seen this movie but i ran a search on the title and found this thread - also contains some discussion of BoV titles.
Backup of Spirited Away...multiangle (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=53382&highlight=matrix+button)

your welcome.
good luck with your project. i would recommend a lengthy read at trilights site for some guides to backing up multi-angle dvds.

would sceneaid help at all?

yes sceneaid is designed to take the hard work out of re-authoring by vob-id. it is still in heavy development and the author is currently working out issues with the installer script and how it treats subs. i also dont know if it is currently capable of handling multi-angle titles, although i did use the first ever release a few months ago an a multi-angle title and simply manually imported the second angles after using sceneaid.

Being the idiot that I am, I tried to reauthor Spirited Away when I first got into backing up DVDs so I ended up using a one click tool to back it up. But the other angle on the DVD is just the japanese titles and credits so if you can live without those, it'd be a lot simpler to just NOT demux that angle in DIF4U...then you can send it to RA and proceed as normal.

I don't know if this is the best way to do it, but I'd open up the main movie's IFO in IFOEdit and then double click on the angle that you want to view in the main window. A preview screen should pop up and if you scroll through it, you can see what's on that VOB-ID.
Hope that helped.

I did this title, but didn't use RA. Because it's multi-angled it has to be demuxed by vobid (if you want to keep those that is). At that time there wasn't a thing called scenaid so manually reauthoring in scen. was the only way.
You have two options here:
1)keep both angles and use sceneaid afterwards
2)Don't keep both angles (as suggested above uncheck the box all angles in dif4u) and use RA.

2)Don't keep both angles (as suggested above uncheck the box all angles in dif4u) and use RA. influenza has already given you the process to take to achieve your desired result.
as for the viewing in ifoedit:
open ifoedit.
open the VTS_**.ifo that you want to examine.
look through the playlist and when you see a vobid that is defined as an angle, double left click on the chapter (CH) that contains the angle.
as EonBlue stated, a preview window will 'pop up' and if you can use the slider along the bottom of the window to 'scroll' through the vobid and view its contents

okay i was messing with that last night and both angles are the same... either angle switchs from english to japanese titles... a few hundred frames apart. so which one do i choose or do i need both since they are the same.
sorry that im not understanding this so quickly.
